Lexington (KY) Alumnae Chapter
...serving Central and Southeast KY since 1932.
In 1932, under the national presidency of Gladys B. Shepperd, eight wonderful Lexington, Kentucky, women of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. chartered the first alumnae chapter in Kentucky, Chi Sigma. Due to nomenclature changes in the sorority, the chapter’s name later became Lexington (KY) Alumnae Chapter. The chapter currently has a dynamic number of active members, with over 100 area-wide members, working for Delta.

Since the birth of this chapter, its members have been a viable force in the community. They have initiated and participated in numerous public service projects, such as food drives, the sorority's own Debutante Scholarship Ball, health initiatives, Delta Academy, social action activities, adopting Christmas families, and various health walks.
The goal of the Lexington (KY) Alumnae Chapter is to help make a difference in the lives of others.
